About
About Ellen and Anthony
Ellen and Anthony met in 2013 when they were both Fulbright fellows doing research in northern Thailand.
They love spicy food, twangy music, and a sense of adventure.
Anthony Irwin
Anthony plays acoustic music with influence from Blind Willie Mctell, Fats Waller, Jimmy Rodgers, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. He writes mournful elegies and playful ditties on banjo and guitar, and sings his little heart out around New York State’s Columbia County. When not playing music, he writes, teaches, and thinks about the importance of craft and construction in Thai Buddhism. www.anthonylovenheimirwin.com
